Grand Organization of ‘Mediation Competition 2026’ by Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College, Managed by Navgujarat
Ahmedabad: A ‘Mediation Competition’ was successfully organized on January 24, 2026, at Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College, managed by Navgujarat . The primary objective of this competition was to develop skills among law students for the peaceful resolution of disputes outside of court through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
The program was organized under the expert guidance of the esteemed Principal, Dr. Ankitkumar Rami. Dr. Lataben Menat served as the Program Coordinator and ensured the smooth management of the entire event.
During the program, a special session was conducted by Dr. Rinku Darji, providing students with in-depth insights into the mediation process, the art of establishing communication between parties, and methods for reaching resolutions in real-world cases.
A complex mock case file was prepared for the competition involving a dispute over medical negligence and compensation between a fitness trainer, Mr. Rohan Mehta, and City Care Hospital. Students actively participated by playing the roles of the disputing parties and mediators to resolve the conflict through dialogue.
A large number of law students participated with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr. Ankitkumar Rami commended the students’ efforts, stating that in the current era, ‘Mediation’ is a vital medium to reduce the burden on the judiciary.
