Students of Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College Visit the Rich Heritage and Library of Gujarat Vidyapith

Ahmedabad, January 13, 2026: For the holistic development and knowledge enhancement of students, Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College, managed by Navgujarat Samay, organized an educational visit today. Students of the LL.B. program along with faculty members visited the library of the historic institution, ‘Gujarat Vidyapith’.

During this visit, students had the rare opportunity to witness several priceless treasures of Indian heritage:

  • The Constitution of India: Students viewed the first original copy of the Indian Constitution, a significant moment for aspiring legal professionals.
  • Hind Swaraj: The original manuscript of ‘Hind Swaraj’ written by the hand of Mahatma Gandhi himself.
  • Rare Manuscripts: A unique book by Shrimad Rajchandra covered in iron, and an extraordinary book embellished with gold leaf were also showcased.

The visit was expertly guided by Dr. Pradip Patel, who provided comprehensive information regarding the library’s history and the preservation of these historic documents.

The delegation was led by the Principal, Dr. Ankitkumar Rami, along with faculty members Dr. Rinku Darji and Dr. Lataben Menat, who remained present throughout the session to encourage the students. Principal Dr. Rami noted that such visits are essential to connect students with the country’s legal and cultural roots.

The students expressed great enthusiasm, gaining insights that go beyond the classroom curriculum by witnessing the evolution of Indian law and literature firsthand.
