1.Admission Policy

1.1 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
  • The minimum required aggregate percentage is 45% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates

1.2 Application Process:

  • Registration and Account Creation
  • Visit the GCAS Portal:
    • Go to the official GCAS Portal website
    • Create an Account
    • Click on “New Registration” (or a similar option) to create a new account
    • Enter basic details such as name, contact information, and email address
    • Set a password and submit the registration form
  • Email Verification
    • Verify your email by clicking the link sent to your registered address.
  • Login and Application Form
    • Login to GCAS Portal
    • Use your registered email ID and password to log in
    • Select Course and College
    • Navigate to the admissions section and select the “3-Year LLB” course
    • Choose Gujarat University and the affiliated Daulatbhai Trivedi Law College as your preferred institution
  • Fill Out the Application Form:
    • Complete the form with your personal details, educational background, and other required information
    • Upload scanned copies of necessary documents (e.g. academic transcripts, identity proof, and caste certificate, if applicable)
  • Application Fee Payment
    • Fee Payment:
    • Pay the application fee as specified on the GCAS Portal
    • Payments can typically be made online via credit/debit card or net banking
  •  Receipt and Confirmation:
    • After payment, download the receipt for your records
    • Check the application status on the portal to confirm successful submission
  •  Merit List and Counselling:
    • Gujarat University will release a merit list based on academic performance
    • Attend counselling sessions and follow instructions for seat allocation and document verification
  • Final Admission:
    • Once selected, pay the admission fees and complete any additional formalities required by the college

2. Attendance Policy

2.1 Minimum Attendance Requirement:

  • Students must maintain at least 75% attendance in each course to qualify for final examinations
  •  Attendance is regularly monitored, and students who fall below the requirement may be restricted from taking exams.

2.2 Leave of Absence:

  • Students must apply for leave in advance, except in cases of emergency, and provide relevant documentation (e.g. medical certificates)
  • Extended leave may require approval from the administration, and students are responsible for catching up on missed work

2.3 Late Arrival and Early Departure:

  • Arriving late or leaving early without prior permission may result in penalties, including marks deduction or attendance loss, depending on the frequency and circumstances

3. Code of Conduct

3.1 Academic Integrity:

  • Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of dishonest behaviour is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action

3.2 Behavioural Standards:

  • Students must display respectful and professional behaviour toward faculty, staff, and peers at all times
  • Disruptive behaviour, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated and may lead to disciplinary action

3.3 Campus Facilities:

  • Students are expected to use campus facilities responsibly and maintain cleanliness. Damaging property will lead to disciplinary action and financial liability for repairs

3.4 Dress Code:

  • Students should adhere to a professional dress code while on campus, especially during academic and formal events. Casual wear is allowed in designated areas as specified by the college

3.5 Use of Technology:

  • Mobile phones and other electronic devices should be used discreetly and only for educational purposes during class. Unauthorised recording or misuse of devices is prohibited

3.6 Participation in College Activities:

  •  Students are encouraged to participate in academic and extracurricular activities organized by the college, as active involvement contributes to personal and professional growth

Disciplinary Actions:

  • Non-compliance with these regulations may result in disciplinary measures, ranging from warnings and fines to suspension or expulsion, depending on the severity of the violation
